India showcased its vibrant tourism offerings at the Qatar Travel Mart (QTM) 2025, held from November 24 to 26 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC). The Embassy of India in Doha organized an extensive pavilion highlighting India’s diverse travel experiences, cultural heritage, and opportunities in the hospitality sector.

A key feature of India’s participation was a dedicated Goa Pavilion, presenting the state as a destination for wellness, culture, nature, and culinary excellence. The pavilion attracted attention from both Qatari nationals and the expatriate community, offering an interactive experience through visuals, brochures, and multimedia displays.

The India and Goa Pavilions were jointly inaugurated by Rohan A. Khaunte, Minister of Tourism, IT, and E&C of Goa, and HE Vipul, India’s Ambassador to Qatar. During the event, Minister Khaunte engaged with travel operators, bloggers, social media influencers, and the Goan diaspora, highlighting Goa’s appeal as a short-haul destination via Qatar Airways and emphasizing wellness, Ayurvedic traditions, and cultural richness.

Ambassador Vipul underscored the growing India–Qatar tourism collaboration and reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to enhancing cultural and economic exchanges. The participation of Goa Tourism at QTM 2025 is expected to further boost tourist engagement, in line with PM Modi’s vision of leveraging Trade, Tourism, and Technology for India’s development.

Local travel influencer Khaled Ghafouri shared his experiences, noting the increasing interest among Qatari youth in exploring India’s diverse destinations.
